Our client, a luxury hotel in Guangzhou is currently looking for Pastry Chef for their hotel.

We are looking for candidates with Michelin Starred Restaurant Background
Pastry Chef has to manage 9 team members and he/she will report to Executive Chef.

Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for smooth running of the day to day dessert operations of the culinary departments of the restaurants & Bars

  • Ensure that all operating equipment & Pastry Kitchen are maintained in good working condition

  • Inspect incoming products related to the pastry & bakery and ensure proper storage and rotation
    Take full responsibility in managing the pastry & bakery kitchen


Requirements:


  • 8 years of experience in the pastry operation preferably in luxury hotel with Michelin-starred or World 50 Best outlets

  • Acquire work exposure in Asia is an advantage

  • Excellent food & beverage and menu planning knowledge

  • Creativity, patience and stamina desired

  • Able to maintain composure under busy operation

  • Strong interpersonal skills and exemplary leadership skills

  • Good command of both spoken and written English

  • Strong training Skills

  • A team player who is motivational

  • Ability to maintain high levels of food quality, consistency and hygiene

  • Perform annual budgeting and cost control

  • Good administrative skills

  • Computer proficiency in major software
